42 storey, 400 unit, 250,000 sq ft, £300m GDV residential tower in Elephant and Castle. JV with Multiplex Developments Ltd, completed 2010 and at the time was London’s tallest residential tower. Rick was the principal ‘architect’ of an innovative JV structure which greatly minimised the equity input of the landowner.
As property director of INTO University Partnerships Ltd, Rick played a major role in devising an innovative property finance and JV structure responsible for a £200m development programme which greatly minimised the equity input of the developer.
Regeneration of a former holiday village comprising a 75 acre site with a private beach on the south coast of Cornwall with an approved development brief for up to 550,000 sq ft of leisure led mixed use development.
Phase 1 comprising the comprehensive refurbishment of 40 original holiday chalets is completed and an operating business has been set up. Detailed planning is also in place for the next phases of high quality holiday homes and facilities.
Burnden Capital is retained to procure the development finance and oversee a possible JV with a development partner.
The Astbury is a prestigious 300 acre golf estate with a championship standard 18 hole golf course and is the ‘home’ of Darren Clarke the 2016 European Ryder Cup captain. Burnden Capital is retained to provide general development consultancy across the entire estate and specifically to procure development finance for the first phase of 40 high quality golf lodges.
